Fuego Austral is set in the Argentinian pampa in the town of Tandil. The look and feel is intimate, like the event itself. The art is wooden, simple, yet as much energy and passion, if not more, has been put into crafting it than at larger burns.  It is proud, expressive, and full of meaning. The lights are less blinding, less imposing. The artists walk among us in this intimate gathering. The Man stands proudly, its arms raised high in the Austral sky in the classic Burning Man pose. It is a labor of love; many arms gather together to heave it up to its standing position.
